blocked. is an iOS app that helps you block distracting apps and websites using Apple's Screen Time framework. This policy explains what data the app uses and how it is handled.

Summary

blocked. does not have a server, does not collect analytics, and does not transmit any of your data off your device. Everything the app needs to function is stored locally on your device (and shared only between the app and its own system extensions via an iOS App Group).

Data We Use, and Why

• Screen Time / App Selections. blocked. uses Apple's Family Controls and Managed Settings frameworks to let you choose which apps and categories to block. These selections are stored locally on your device using Apple's system frameworks and are never sent anywhere.
• NFC Tags. If you choose to unlock blocking with an NFC tag, blocked. reads the tag's unique identifier to verify it matches the tag you registered. This identifier is stored only on your device.
• Camera (QR Code). If you choose to unlock blocking with a QR code, the camera is used solely to scan that code. No images or video are stored or transmitted.
• Location. If you choose geolocation-based blocking, blocked. uses your device's location (while the app is in use) to detect when you leave a blocking zone you've defined. Location data is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to us or any third party.
• Session History. Information about your blocking sessions (start/end times) is stored locally on your device so you can view your own activity history. It is not transmitted anywhere.

Third-Party Services

blocked. includes an optional link to the developer's Ko-fi page for voluntary support. Tapping it opens Ko-fi in your browser, which is operated by a third party with its own privacy policy. blocked. does not share any of your data with Ko-fi or any other third party.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. We do not have access to any data the app uses — it never leaves your device.

Children's Privacy

blocked. does not knowingly collect personal information from children. All data handled by the app stays on-device regardless of user age.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
